Rudolph and Clarice are two characters who are best friends in childhood and start a romantic relationship when they are older.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer[]

Yearlings[]

Rudolph and Clarice first met as yearlings at The Reindeer Games after one of the young bucks Fireball encouraged Rudolph (who was wearing a fake nose to hide his red one) to go and talk to Clarice after noticing her looking over at him. The two agree to walk home together before Clarice tells Rudolph that she thinks that he is cute, which makes Rudolph leap high in the air with joy.

However after Rudolph's fake nose falls off during a playful tussle with Fireball, he is laughed at by the other young bucks and is banned from the games by Comet. Clarice (who doesn't have a problem with Rudolph having a red nose), goes after him, reminding him that they promised to walk home. She then sings "There's Always Tomorrow" to cheer Rudolph up, before her father arrives and orders her to return home as he doesn't want her to be seen with a red-nosed reindeer.

After learning that Rudolph ran away, Clarice goes with his parents Donner and Mrs. Donner in looking for him.

Young Adults[]

Months later, Clarice, Donner and Mrs. Donner are captured by Bumble, but Rudolph comes to save them, but is knocked out. Luckily, his friends Hermey and Yukon Cornelius arrive and help.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and The Island Of Misfit Toys[]

Taking place roughly a year or so after the first film, Rudolph helps Clarice in learning how to fly. In return, Clarice aids Rudolph in finding The Toy Taker, who has been stealing Santa's and other people's toys.

Clarice also serves as moral support for Rudolph when he considers getting a normal nose from Queen Camilla, saying that she loves him just the way he is. As a result, Rudolph admits his love for Clarice, which causes her to fly with heartfelt joy.
