Prancer is a minor character in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie and its sequel book Rudolph Saves The Sprites, the mate of Mrs. Prancer, and one of the Flyers on Santa Claus's sleigh team.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie[]
Prancer first appears during The Christmas Eve Launch where he along with the other Flyers guide Santa Claus's sleigh into the sky whilst being watched by his mate and the other villagers.
He is next seen years later at Reindeer Stadium watching The Junior Reindeer Games.
He is later seen on Christmas Eve once again guiding Santa's sleigh with the other Flyers, this time joined by Rudolph who uses his nose's light to get them through Stormella's storm. He is last seen with Rudolph, Santa and the other Flyers returning to Santa's Village.
Rudolph Saves The Sprites[]
In this book (which takes place after the film), Prancer along with the other Flyers, prepares to go with Santa to find the Sprites of the Northern Lights, after they failed to appear at the winter celebrations to perform their light show.
Description[]
Prancer has goldish-brown fur, blonde hair and brown eyes. Like all Flyers, he wears a Medal of Valor.
In Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: A Retelling of the New Animated Movie and Rudolph Saves The Sprites, Prancer has dark brown fur and lacks his Medal of Valor.
Behavior[]
Prancer's personality is not explored in the film. Though from what is seen is that he is dedicated to his job.
