Elf Foreman and Hermey, the 2 examples of an elf.
Elves are characters who appear in the 1964 Rankin/Bass film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, it's 2001 sequel Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and The Island Of Misfit Toys and the 1998 film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie. They also appear in the 1974 film The Year Without A Santa Claus.
They are short human like creatures who are well known to work in Santa Claus's workshop and make toys for him to deliver to the children of the world on Christmas Eve. Though there have been exceptions, Hermey used to make toys but left to become a dentist whilst Boone and Doggle deliver mail. At The Junior Reindeer Games, elves (including Doggle) served as riders to the reindeer taking part in The Sleigh Race, another served as commentator and another served as referee.
