Dancer is a minor character in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie and it's sequel book Rudolph Saves The Sprites and one of the Flyers on Santa Claus's sleigh team.
Appearances[]
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie[]
Dancer first appears on Christmas Eve during The Christmas Eve Launch along with the other Flyers guiding Santa's sleigh into the sky.
Dancer is then seen years later once again on Christmas Eve with the other Flyers though this time joined by Rudolph who uses his nose's light to help the Flyers guide Santa's sleigh through Stormella's storm.
Dancer is last seen the next day on Christmas Day, arriving back to Santa's Village with Santa, Rudolph and the other Flyers.
Rudolph Saves The Sprites[]
In this book (which takes place after the film), Dancer along with the other Flyers prepare to go with Santa to find the Sprites of the Northern Lights, after they failed to appear at the winter celebrations to perform their light show.
Description[]
In the film, Dancer has brown and cream fur and brown eyes with dark circles around them. Like all Flyers, he wears a Medal of Valor.
In Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: A Retelling of the New Animated Movie and Rudolph Saves The Sprites, Dancer has dark brown fur.
Trivia[]
- In the film's novelisation, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: A Retelling of the New Animated Movie, Dancer's position on the team changes twice: on the front cover, he is at the front of the team with Dasher rather than at the back as he is in the film, on the last page of the book, Dancer is at the back though this time, next to Donner.
