Christmastown is a small town in the North Pole that serves as the main setting for the 1964 special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; the non-canon 2001 sequel, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and The Island Of Misfit Toys; and the 2016 short film remake of the original film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 4D Attraction.
For the town in the 1998 film, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie, see: Santa's Village.
Christmastown (main area)[]
The main area of Christmastown consists of a massive evergreen forest and a large building with an attached workshop known as Santa's Castle. The town is surrounded by icy mountains in a circle leading towards the sea.
Elves are thought to live in the castle's second floor rooms, but some may live in the small houses seen dotting the landscape of the forest.
Christmastown (surrounding areas)[]
There is a large ravine and cave somewhere outside Christmastown, seen near the end of the film. The ravine appears to be near the edge of the mountains, and it is surrounded by ice.
South of Christmastown, there is a large sea that leads the Island of Misfit Toys. The sea begins at the end of the mountains, and it is surrounded by sheets of ice and icebergs. There doesn't appear to be much life out there compared to the areas closer to the town, and it has no trees.
